Serving and Protecting

Over the last week, I have had a chance to see innumerable service men and women. They drill, train, serve and sacrifice. There supply folks who are responsible for tons of stuff that need to be in the right place at the right time. There are the intel people who manage the information flow that makes safety and success possible. There is the infantry how face the enemy - nose-to-nose. Special Ops, logistics, command - the list goes on.
One thing I do know. I have met with may of them and they are, to a person, courteous, compassionate and most of all patriotic. They are willing to make the sacrifices so that we can enjoy our freedom.
I saw a tee-shirt yesterday that I hope you think of the next time you see one of our uniformed hero's. It said, "Defender of the Constitution"
Simple but noble.
Application - thank God that he has given us these noble servants. And thank the next person in uniform for their service to our country and the defense of our Constitution.
